This term Phoenix Class have covered the topic ‘Through the Wardrobe’ which is based on the story ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.’
The story is written by Lewis Carroll and is one of the Narnia Chronicles.
We asked the children to use their imagination, walk through an imaginary wardrobe that transported them back to World War II. With this in mind the children came up with lots of fantastic ideas and created a WW II display board Mural.

The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the different aspects of the War from the feelings of a child who had to be evacuated, what happening during the Blitz to propaganda posters that were used.

In English we have looked at writing Diaries from the WW II and Fantasy Stories. It has to be said that the children did an absolutely brilliant job.
