This week in Phoenix, we have started our new unit on Jungle Stories. We are looking at the book "Slowly, Slowly, Slowly," said the Sloth by Eric Carle. We started the week by reading the story together and understanding the significance of the repetition within the story. Since then we have been able to create actions for the words to help us re-tell the story. The boys have really enjoyed this part of the learning and cannot wait to create actions for the ending of the story.

Phoenix class have also started their Geography unit this week focusing on locating the different Jungles and Rainforests in the World. The children enjoyed using an Atlas to help them find the Jungles on a World map and they even learnt what the Equator is!!

Finally, Phoenix class have engaged really well with their first PE lesson of the term. The children have started to learn about balancing and different ways that people can travel by using different parts of their bodies! Well done boys!
