Seahorse visit to SS Great Britain

This term Seahorses have been working hard on their topic of Inventors and Explorers. We have looked at Thomas Edison and his invention of the first electric light bulb and Brunel and his bridge, tunnel and boat designs. The children have also researched who invented their favourite invention and painted some fantastic pictures to go around the class.

This week Seahorse Class visited the SS Great Britain which was designed by Brunel. We had a look around the different levels of the boats and saw what the accommodation was like in First and Middle class. The boys had a go at cleaning the decks, sounding the fog horn and dressing up in old fashioned clothes. We had a really good day out and the behaviour was amazing!
