Visit by the Department for Education - 10 October 2013

On Thursday 10th October we had two special visitors from the Department for Education who came to look at the Ridge Academy to see what an amazing school it is, how much fantastic learning and teaching goes on at the school and to learn good practice to pass onto other schools.

The visitors were really impressed with everything about the Ridge Academy.  They were welcomed beautifully by pupils in each classroom with a firm handshake and a clear ‘welcome’.  They saw some very focussed learning being done by lots of pupils, including a very interesting speech by Excellent Elm about the Great Fire of London. They had the opportunity to hand out some mentor sweatshirts to pupils in Oak who had worked hard to achieve this status and they were served delicious tea and cupcakes in Nurture by Zack, Kian, Tom and Tyler.

Well done everyone who was involved in making this visit so successful.
